State of California versus Frankenstein :: Argumentative Persuasive Mary Shelley Essays
State of California versus Frankenstein Ladies and gentleman of the jury we are gathered here today to highlight the injustices, prove the innocence, and consequently save the life of a man that has been dealt the wrong hand since even before his existence. A man who with no power of his own, was put into situations that forced him to behave the way that he did. His actions were just mirror reflections of the behavior that he was taught, and seeing how he was perceived as being a monster rather than human, he soon began to fulfill the role of the monster he was seen as. Mr. Frankenstein had not the power nor was he given the ability to control his own actions. He has been made a victim of circumstance. In conclusion, I will try to prove that Frankenstein should not be held personally or morally responsible for his actions, because forces outside his control caused his criminality. < Doctor Victor Frankenstein once stated "A new species will bless me as its creator and source: many happy and excellent natures would owe their being to me" (Shelley 223). Yet, Dr. Victor did not think about the consequences of his actions, he did not think about the effect it would have on his creation. He was just empowered by the vision of creating a human being. "His sole purpose of infusing life into an inanimate body" (Shelley 233). Dr. Victor gathered the material he needed to create Frankenstein. Yet, he never thought of the negative aspects that his creation would inherit due to its degenerate body parts. First, let's talk about the neurophysiological aspect. Frankenstein was given an abnormal brain, the brain of a criminal. To the Doctor's defense he did not know that the stolen brain was one that belonged to a criminal;however, it is very possible that the new brain recipient inherited the anti-social behavior possessed by the former. A second point worth noting is Frankensteins' genetic makeup. The massive abnormalities in which Frankenstein has had to endure reflects his behavior. For example, his unproportionate body parts his hands longer than a normal human being. This mans' unusual height, eight feet tall is proportionally larger and stronger than any other man. A figure covered by many scars that bond each piece of raw material that was used to create Frankenstein. And that face, the face of an outcast, which whenever seen, frightens any creature around, whether it be human or animal.

Why Do People Fall in Love
A question many of us find us asking ourselves in todayââ¬â¢s society. Many of us have been hurt by love and therefore have refused to neither use nor believe that there is such a word or feeling that exists in the universe. People fall in love for many reasons; some donââ¬â¢t even know why they end up in love. I believe people fall in love for three life-based reasons, to expand the self and to increase our abilities and our effectiveness in other words self-expansion, lack of self-dependency, Last but certainly not least they have something good to offer and they want something good in return.I myself have been thru all these stages of ââ¬Å"Loveâ⬠as we all call it and have come to a conclusion thru my own two eyes and hands on or should I say feelings on experience. The first reason people fall in love is to expand themselves thru other people also known as self-expansion. In his book ââ¬Å"Self-expansion: a NEW! Integrated paradigm for psychologyâ⬠author Miklo s Fodor describes very clearly how people expand themselves with one another. He created a model called Fodormiks Integrated Paradigm for Psychology (FIPP).The model describes many forms of human behavior from sex, religion, problem solving and even intimate relations. Upon reading the first couple of pages of the book I learned that the amount of money where you live and yourself can all affect who you fall in love with. If youââ¬â¢re wealthy you are a target of love to someone who wants to expand their business or find funding for something which the person couldnââ¬â¢t afford on their own. An example of self-expansion is in familyââ¬â¢s that are wealthy and both husband and wife own businesses or assets that are in good use with each other. The husbands company makes the leather for her fancy purses. Many people believe that this kind of love is wrong but itââ¬â¢s a form of love in which both parties are happy and successful. Another example of self-expansion is someon e who feels they can accomplish more and succeed in life with some besides them. The feeling of being complete motivates the person to pursue a life of fulfillment. Take for instance Romeo and Juliet two lovers who fate was decided by the feelings expressed to each other in self-expansion. The second problem causing reason people fall in love is lack of self-dependency.Many of us witness an individual in a relationship where they are not happy everyone advises them to leave and for some odd reason they claim they are in love. This type of love is brought on by growing up in a harsh unloving family, and they are glued to this person because when they were in distress that person put them at ease to the individual losing someone like that is something they just wonââ¬â¢t do. Another reason this love is bought is the person is he/she gets whatever they want while they are with this person for some it could be a meal and the bills paid to others it could be a lavish life-style.A grea t quote that illustrates well what this person might be feeling is ââ¬Å"I know well what I am fleeing from but not what I am in search ofâ⬠written by Michel De Montaigne. The person knows the love is wrong but refuses to leave because simply they are afraid of not finding a better love. This quote also points out that the person is lost inside they donââ¬â¢t know what exactly they are here for in life or what exactly it is they are searching for in a relationship.Lack of self-dependency to my opinion is a horrible reason to be in love but many people in the world depend on this love to get them thru, sad to say this is the type of world we live in. The final reason I believe people fall in love is because they have something good to offer and they want something back in return. Now I believe in this love 100% but some say itââ¬â¢s wrong. In todayââ¬â¢s society the relationships that work out are relationships in which both parties are offering something to each othe r.An example of this type of love maybe the wife is a great cook and the husband loves to eat, while in return the husband works on the car clean or does anything to which he believes he can pay the wife for here great cooking. Another way this type of love is manifested in the form of making the significant other feels special. In this type of relationship the trade-offs could range from a number of things, happiness for wealth or wealth for happiness, it could also be a sexual trade off. No matter what in this type of relationship if the person isnââ¬â¢t receiving something in return there is no possible way the relationship is going to work. Some people feel if they love someone more than they love themselves that person to is going to do the same for them, but as we all can see it doesnââ¬â¢t always turn out that way. Some people offer there time, money and efforts to attain the feeling of being loved and end up hurt in the end. I believe all love is false but is used as a way to cope with living with some of lifeââ¬â¢s hardest decision and itââ¬â¢s always good to have someone by your side thru these times but understanding love can help you attain and reach that level of love and happiness in life.In closing words to the feelings we find ourselves calling love, people fall in love for three life-based purposes to expand the self and to increase our abilities and our effectiveness in other words self-expansion, lack of self-dependency, Last but certainly not least they have something good to offer and they want something good in return. People expand themselves every day in every relationship decision we make or think of making weather done conscious or unconscious the mind has a life of its own and who you fall in love with is determined by many objects and situations surrounding you. Also people fall in love due to what I call lack of self-dependency. Itââ¬â¢s a good thing to be in love but make sure itââ¬â¢s a love where both people are benefitting and are happy. Donââ¬â¢t let lifeââ¬â¢s bad mishaps determine who you fall in love with and the reasons you fall in love. And finally the ultimate reason to fall in love is having something good and offering it to some in returns for a better or equal something. In this love the amount of love you choose to give is the amount of love you get back, you donââ¬â¢t have to ever worry about this love when you encounter it, just embrace close your eyes and never let go.This is the love of feeling of matter of each otherââ¬â¢s happiness this is the love I believe that we all should share with each other it would just make things better in the world that we live in.SOURCES http://www. quotegarden. com/self-discovery. html http://www. yoshke. com/2010/02/top-10-reasons-to-fall-in-love/ ââ¬Å"Self-expansion: a NEW! Integrated paradigm for psychologyâ⬠By Milkos Fodor http://www. 2knowmyself. com/relationship_breakups/why_do_we_fall_in_love Why Do People Fall in Love Why Do People Fall In Love Many researchers actually consider falling in love to be a biologic event. And there are some researchers that can show brain changes using MRI tests to show that there are actual changes in our brain that we think of psychologically but biologically it really is a physiologic change. But when we want to understand what falling in love is ââ¬â the best concept to understand is the concept called limerance. Limerance is that period in a relationship of great passion, when we're almost obsessed with our partner, when we can think of nothing else, when we put our lives on hold to spend time, to pull all-nighters.We daydream about them and when we put our partner on a pedestal. When, everything they say is smart, when we wonder why everybody in the world isn't in love with our partner. That's limerance. At a certain point in a relationship, limerance fades. It can only last about 2-3 years. At that point many would misperceive that as falling out of love, b ut in fact, it's really a change in the relationship. When the partnership changes from that passionate, exciting, romance, mystery, dangerous period, to one of a stable committed partnership, and by definition, you can't live up to that level of excitement. And at that point you start to see partner's flaws, and not everything they say is wonderful and they have some bad habits, and that requires the concept of recognizing that limerance fades, but being in love, and loving somebody does not. So, in order to really establish a good long-term relationship, we understand that falling out of love means just not putting our limits on wanting that passion all the time. is love natural in humans or are we thought to love by experience ? Non scientifically I think you love because you gave yourself to that person. You opened up about everything to them. You trust them, you get along with them, you canââ¬â¢t imagine not living without them there by you. You love because of the bond you cr eated with this person. We've all experienced love. We've loved (and been loved by) parents, brothers, sisters, friends, even pets. But romantic love is different. It's an intense, new feeling unlike any of these other ways of loving. Loving and being loved adds richness to our lives. When people feel close to others they are happier and even healthier. Love helps us feel important, understood, and secure. But each kind of love has its own distinctive feel. The kind of love we feel for a parent is different from our love for a baby brother or best friend. And the kind of love we feel in romantic relationships is its own unique type of love. Our ability to feel romantic love develops during adolescence. Teens all over the world notice passionate feelings of attraction. Even in cultures where people are not allowed to act on or express these feelings, they're still there. It's a natural part of growing up to develop romantic feelings and sexual attractions to others. These new feelings can be exciting ââ¬â or even confusing at first. The Magical Ingredients of Love Relationships Love is such a powerful human emotion that experts are constantly studying it. They've discovered that love has three main qualities: 1. Attraction is the ââ¬Å"chemistryâ⬠part of love. It's all about the physical ââ¬â even sexual ââ¬â interest that two people have in each other. Attraction is responsible for the desire we feel to kiss and hold the object of our affection. Attraction is also what's behind the flushed, nervous-but-excited way we feel when that person is near. 2.Closeness is the bond that develops when we share thoughts and feelings that we don't share with anyone else. When you have this feeling of closeness with your boyfriend or girlfriend, you feel supported, cared for, understood, and accepted for who you are. Trust is a big part of this. 3. Commitment is the promise or decision to stick by the other person through the ups and downs of the relationshi p. These three qualities of love can be combined in different ways to make different kinds of relationships. For example, closeness without attraction is the kind of love we feel for best friends. We share secrets and personal stuff with them, we support them, and they stand by us. But we are not romantically interested in them. Attraction without closeness is more like a crush or infatuation. You're attracted to someone physically but don't know the person well enough yet to feel the closeness that comes from sharing personal experiences and feelings. Romantic love is when attraction and closeness are combined. Lots of relationships grow out of an initial attraction (a crush or ââ¬Å"love at first sightâ⬠) and develop into closeness. It's also possible for a friendship to move from closeness into attraction as two people realize their relationship is more than ââ¬Å"just likeâ⬠and they have become interested in one another in a romantic way. For people falling in love fo r the first time, it can be hard to tell the difference between the intense, new feelings of physical attraction and the deeper closeness that goes with being in love. Lasting Love or Fun Fling? The third ingredient in a love relationship, commitment, is about wanting and deciding to stay together as a couple in the future ââ¬â despite any changes and challenges that life brings.Sometimes couples who fall in love in high school develop committed relationships that last. Many relationships don't last, though. But it's not because teens aren't capable of deep loving. We typically have shorter relationships as teens because adolescence is a time when we instinctively seek lots of different experiences and try out different things. It's all part of discovering who we are, what we value, and what we want out of life. Another reason we tend to have shorter relationships in our teens is because the things we want to get out of a romantic relationship change as we get a little older. In our teens ââ¬â especially for guys ââ¬â relationships are mainly about physical attraction. But by the time guys reach 20 or so, they rate a person's inner qualities as most important. Teen girls emphasize closeness as most important ââ¬â although they don't mind if a potential love interest is cute too! In our teens, relationships are mostly about having fun. Dating can seem like a great way to have someone to go places with and do things with. Dating can also be a way to fit in. If our friends are all dating someone, we might put pressure on ourselves to find a boyfriend or girlfriend too.For some people dating is even a status thing. It can almost seem like another version of cliques: The pressure to go out with the ââ¬Å"rightâ⬠person in the ââ¬Å"rightâ⬠group can make dating a lot less fun than it should be ââ¬â and not so much about love! In our late teens, though, relationships are less about going out to have fun and fitting in. Closeness, shari ng, and confiding become more important to both guys and girls. By the time they reach their twenties, most girls and guys value support, closeness, and communication, as well as passion. This is the time when people start thinking about finding someone they can commit to in the long run ââ¬â a love that will last. What Makes a Good Relationship? When people first experience falling in love, it often starts as attraction. Sexual feelings can also be a part of this attraction. People at this stage might daydream about a crush or a new BF or GF. They may doodle the person's name or think of their special someone while a particular song is playing. It sure feels like love. But it's not love yet. It hasn't had time to grow into emotional closeness that's needed for love.Because feelings of attraction and sexual interest are new, and they're directed at a person we want a relationship with, it's not surprising we confuse attraction with love. It's all so intense, exciting, and hard to sort out. The crazy intensity of the passion and attraction phase fades a bit after a while. Like putting all our energy into winning a race, this kind of passion is exhilarating but far too extreme to keep going forever. If a relationship is destined to last, this is where closeness enters the picture. The early passionate intensity may fade, but a deep affectionate attachment takes its place. Some of the ways people grow close are: * Learning to give and receive. A healthy relationship is about both people, not how much one person can get from (or give to) the other. * Revealing feelings. A supportive, caring relationship allows people to reveal detail about themselves ââ¬â their likes and dislikes, dreams and worries, proud moments, disappointments, fears, and weaknesses. * Listening and supporting. When two people care, they offer support when the other person is feeling vulnerable or afraid. They don't put down or insult their partner, even when they disagree.Giving, receiv ing, revealing, and supporting is a back-and-forth process: One person shares a detail, then the other person shares something, then the first person feels safe enough to share a little more. In this way, the relationship gradually builds into a place of openness, trust, and support where each partner knows that the other will be there when times are tough. Both feel liked and accepted for who they are. The passion and attraction the couple felt early on in the relationshipà isn't lost. It's just different. In healthy, long-term relationships, couples often find that intense passion comes and goes at different times. But the closeness is always there. Sometimes, though, a couple loses the closeness. For adults, relationships can sometimes turn into what experts call ââ¬Å"empty love. â⬠This means that the closeness and attraction they once felt is gone, and they stay together only out of commitment. This is not usually a problem for teens, but there are other reasons why rel ationships end Why Do Relationships End? Love is delicate. It needs to be cared for and nurtured if it is to last through time. Just like friendships, relationships can fail if they are not given enough time and attention. This is one reason why some couples might not last ââ¬â perhaps someone is so busy with school, extracurricular, and work that he or she has less time for a relationship. Or maybe a relationship ends when people graduate and go to separate colleges or take different career paths. For some teens, a couple may grow apart because the things that are important to them change as they mature. Or maybe each person wants different things out of the relationship. Sometimes both people realize the relationship has reached its end; sometimes one person feels this way when the other does not.Moving On Losing love can be painful for anyone. But if it's your first real love and the relationship ends before you want it to, feelings of loss can seem overwhelming. Like the feel ings of passion early in the relationship, the newness and rawness of grief and loss can be intense ââ¬â and devastating. There's a reason why they call it a broken heart. When a relationship ends, people really need support. Losing a first love isn't something we've been emotionally prepared to cope with. It can help to have close friends and family members to lean on.Unfortunately, lots of people ââ¬â often adults ââ¬â expect younger people to bounce back and ââ¬Å"just get over it. â⬠If your heart is broken, find someone you can talk to who really understands the pain you're going through. It seems hard to believe when you're brokenhearted that you can ever feel better. But gradually these feelings grow less intense. Eventually, people move on to other relationships and experiences. Relationships ââ¬â whether they last 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years, or a lifetime ââ¬â are all opportunities to experience love on its many different levels. We learn both how to love and how to be loved in return.Romance provides us with a chance to discover our own selves as we share with someone new. We learn the things we love about ourselves, the things we'd like to change, and the qualities and values we look for in a partner. Loving relationships teach us self-respect as well as respect for others. Love is one of the most fulfilling things we can have in our lives. If romance hasn't found you yet, don't worry ââ¬â there's plenty of time. And the right person is worth the wait This felling of love is a very ââ¬Å"rawâ⬠effect of pheromones or sexual hormones that we pick up when around other people. Its root lies in the fact that Mother Nature wants us to procreate and suggests that when this ââ¬Å"falling in loveâ⬠sensation occurs then the individual these feelings are centered around would make a good partner to have offspring with in terms of a healthy offspring. It DOES NOT mean the same person will make a good life partner. Our society seems to place a great deal of significance on this sensation, and tend to co notate it with a mysterious and magical feeling that can only be the allusive concept of love. This is also why we live in a society with such a high divorce rate. Although it would be nice to think this magical and mysterious feeling extends for the rest of our lives and is an indicator that we found our soul mates ââ¬â the reality is it is nothing more than chemical warfare with the biology of our bodies. What love it is, is a choice ââ¬â plain and simple. Of course we hope that happy feelings and good times are a natural result of that choice, but this is not required for the choice of love to exist.People who define love based on how they feel are often times in for a bumpy ride with relationships, because when the body changes its biology, or someone else crosses their path with a new set of hormones/pheromones they react to they have the magical mysterious feeling all over again, but f or someone new. So my two cents would be to understand ââ¬Å"falling in loveâ⬠is a term that refers to a very raw biological process, one that is independent and should not affect our conscious decisions as to who is significant in

How to Earn an Online MBA Degree
Online MBA programs are a popular choice by older adults and mid-career professionals who want to earn a degree without sacrificing their career and family life. Online ââ¬â¹MBA programs are also becoming a fast favorite of the younger crowd, who are looking for ways to earn a graduate degree while keeping their current employment. Many find that online MBA courses offer a flexibility that cant be found in traditional schools. If youre considering earning an online MBA, make sure you do your homework. Knowing the basics will help you make an informed decision about whether or not these programs are right for you. How Online MBA Programs Are Different From Traditional MBA Programs Distance learning and traditional MBA programs generally share a similar type of curriculum and can be considered equally difficult (depending, of course, on the particular school). Instead of spending hours in class, online MBA students are expected to dedicate their time to studying independently. Online curriculum generally consists of lectures, readings, assignments, and participation in online discussions. Some programs also offer multimedia components such as video lectures, podcasting, and video conferencing. Online MBA students from some programs are expected to physically attend a certain number of courses or workshops in order to acquire residency hours. Required tests can usually be taken with proctors in your own community. Online MBA students donââ¬â¢t spend less time studying than their traditional student counterparts. But, they are given the power to fit their school hours into their own schedules. Determining if an MBA Program Is Respectable This question deserves a qualified ââ¬Å"yes.â⬠There are two main factors in determining a business schoolââ¬â¢s respectability: accreditation and reputation. Online MBA programs that are accredited by the proper agencies should be respected by your future employers and colleagues. However, there are many unaccredited or ââ¬Å"diploma millâ⬠programs that give out worthless degrees. Avoid them at all costs. A school with a good reputation can also add respectability to an online MBA degree. Much like law schools, business schools receive rankings from organizations such as Business Week that can affect future employment. Online students may not be offered the same high-paying, big corporation jobs that graduates from top-ranked schools such as Wharton are. However, there are plenty of companies willing to hire MBA grads with degrees from other institutions. Reasons People Earn Their MBAOnline Online MBA students come from all walks of life. Many distance learning students are mid-career when they decide to get another degree. Older professionals with jobs and family responsibilities often find the flexibility of online programs to be a good fit. Some online students are looking for a career change but still want to maintain their current job until they get their MBA. Others are already working in business and earn their degree in order to be eligible for job promotions. How Long Do Online MBAs Take to Complete The time it takes to finish an online MBA degree varies according to the school and the specialization. Some intensive MBA programs can be finished in as few as nine months. Other programs can take up to four years. Adding specializations to a degree can take even longer. Some schools allow students greater flexibility to work at their own pace while others require that students adhere to more demanding deadlines. Cost of Earning an Online Degree One online MBA degree canââ¬â¹ be had for $10,000, another for $100,000. The cost of tuition varies substantially from college to college. Pricey doesnââ¬â¢t necessarily mean better (although some of the more expensive schools have some of the best reputations). Your employer may be willing to pay for part or all of your educational expenses, particularly if he or she thinks youââ¬â¢ll be sticking with the company. You may also be awarded grants, receive institutional or private scholarships, or qualify for financial aid. Advantages in Having an MBA Many online MBA graduates have used their new degrees to excel at the workplace, gain promotions, and achieve career success. Others have found that their time could have been better spent elsewhere. Those who find their degrees to be ââ¬Å"worth itâ⬠share several traits in common: they knew they wanted to work in the business field beforehand, they chose a school with proper accreditation and a positive reputation, and their specialization was appropriate for the type of work they wanted to do. Enrolling in an online MBA program is not a decision to take lightly. Accredited programs require hard work, time, and effort. But, for the right person, an online MBA can be a great way to get a jumpstart in the world of business.

The Impact Of Fishing On The Service Of Industrialization
Chapter I: Introduction 1.1 General Introduction Fishing is an activity that people have been doing since early civilization. It evolved from a social need to currently also one of commercial interest2. As Cochrane and Garcia (2009) describe it so nicely: ââ¬Å"â⬠¦the commoditization of nature in the service of industrialization.â⬠After years of perceived growth, it is now evident that globally countries suffer from the negative effects that we people have ourselves helped create. The introduction starts with a background and relates the complexity of fisheries management from a global level to Suriname. Also the benefits that fisheries provide for Suriname will be mentioned. Following the problem statement and the objective of the study, theâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦When looking at the state of the fish stocks of which information is available, confirmed that the proportion of overexploited, depleted and recovering stocks have remained relatively stable over the last 10-15 years, after the observed upward trend of operating in the 1970s and 1980s. It is estimated that in 2007 52% of the fish are fully exploited, meaning that the catches are close to their maximum permissible limit for sustainable operation and that there was no scope for further expansion (Valdimarsson, 2007). 2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishing accessed March 30, 2010 2 This upward trend internationally, especially in the 1970s and 1980s, has influenced Suriname. Since 1979 fisheries in Suriname went through various developments that have a perceptible upward trend. These developments characterize diversification of the fishing fleet, the commercial marketing of previously unknown species, improvement of facilities and major expansion of the fleet. From that year, the Surinamese government had several collaborations with Belgium, Japan, the FAO and the European Union (EU) and there is much work done in the field of fisheries development, policy, research, data collection and processing, quality management and support in the form of input, terminal facilities and other amenities. Some of these efforts today expanded or developed, but many efforts have also deteriorated. What makes fishery management so complex?

Diversity in Sexual Orientation - 1149 Words
Diversity in Sexual Orientation by Jason Burnley When I think about diversity in the world I too think about diversity when it comes to sexual orientation. Sometimes I think -- How is sexual identity developed? What influences who we become sexually? Why is there such diversity in sexual orientation? To be quite frank, there are no correct or incorrect answers to these questions. The idea of sexual orientation and behavior is a very complex one. What was true in the past is certainly different than the norm today. When I researched the various psychological theories and methodologies of measuring oneââ¬â¢s sexuality, naturally I came across the work of Dr. Alfred Kinsey, the creator of the Kinsey scale. Dr. Kinsey created The Kinseyâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦They also compared the two groups in their religious affiliation, political ideology, and attitudes toward casual sex and non-monogamy: men whose heterosexual identity was consistent with their behavior, fantasies, and attractions (i.e., all different-sex only) were similar to those with some inconsistencies and among women, those with some degree of same-sex sexuality yet a heterosexual identity were significantly more liberal in their political and sexual attitudes. Dr. Savin-Williams argues in his newest book, The New Gay Teenager, young adults are becoming much more open in and about their sexualities, and many are resisting the pressure to label themselves as one thing or another. But, of course, even researchers of Dr. Alfred Kinseyââ¬â¢s time knew that sexuality is not black and white, but rather much more complex. Although we may find it simpler to think our sexual behavior, attractions, fantasies, and identities are all consistent and aligned, the reality of our world is that they are not consistent for many people. ââ¬Å"Our sexual identity, that label we embrace to let others know whether we prefer people of the same gender, of different genders, or both (e.g., gay, lesbian, heterosexual, bisexual, queer), does not always necessarily reflect who we are attracted to, who we fantasize about, and who we have sex with.â⬠(Vrangalova Show MoreRelatedGender And Sexual Orientation Of Diversity1582 Words à |à 7 Pagesand hospitality industry. High level of confidentiality helped organization in implementing their action plan easily. Also confidentiality decreased the problem of data theft and other crimes as well. Low cost of marketing helped the company invests their funds in other resourceful activities (Birk 2015). Weakness In todays era, Tesla Motors faces the difficulty in arranging funds due to which they face difficulty in expanding their business. Also Tesla faces high debt load which cuts the earnings of the organization. Opportunities Due to emergence of electronic vehicles in the society, the governments also support the customers to purchase such vehicles from the company and earn rewards. Increment in the prices of oil and gas will give a push to the demand of electric vehicles due to which the company will also increase the supply of them in the market (Radius 2017). Threats Lack of adequate knowledge about EV in the minds of customers is the biggest threat to the organization Tesla. People are inefficient in analyzing the benefits of such vehicles and its use due to which the demand of the product decrease. Also it dissatisfies them as they do not know how to use them (Tansel 2015). Identification of Teslas Strategies Business Level Strategy: the business level strategy which is currently used by Tesla is focused differentiation. Focused differentiation refers to the strategy which combines elements of two or more generic business strategies of Porter. Cost leadership, differentiation and focus are the three main strategies with the blend of which the focus differentiation strategy is formed. Under this strategy the organization Tesla focused on small groups of customers present in the target market and provides them differentiated products so as to meet their demand present in the market. Tesla targeted the early adopters present in the market who hold high income and have the potential to purchase the electric vehicles supplied by the company. Understanding the above statements, it was seen that the organization identified and picked the customers who have keen interest in buying the technological innovative products present in the market and have the serious mindset to buy the product. This met hod helped the company to accurately analyze the prospective buyers and serve the product to them and create identification in the market (Tansel 2015). Corporate Strategy: The corporate strategy which Tesla used is its business functions is the mixture of product development and vertical integration in the manufacturing process. With the use of product development strategy the organization aimed to become the leading market innovator in the field of automotive. The company also invested in the field of research and development so as to make their vehicles more affordable and attractive in the market. The main aim of the organization the initiation of this strategy was to enter in the high end target market under which the customer only requires the quality product for which they are willing to premium amount as well. Later after receiving satisfactory results from the customers they aimed to drive to increase the sales, for this purpose the company reduced the prices of their vehicles due to which more products were sold in high volume. This strategy helped Tesla to substantially gain the customers in the market (Hill 2013). Co-operative Strategy: under the co-operative strategy, the organization developed a strategic alliance with other profound companies present in the target market. This process helped the organization to make use of fame of other companies and initiate he sale of their organization as well. Tesla formed their alliance with many company like Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Daimler, with the initiation of this process the company also eliminated the competition as these are those companies which are present in same target market and serve same kind of products. So, co-operative strategy gives advantage to both the company and cuts competition. Further this type of strategy helped the company to equalize their skills which lacking in their organizations process. The company made use of resources present with other company with the help of which they developed their core competencies in the market. Also international expansion program was also initiated in the company with the implementation of c o-operative strategy (Nykvist, and Nilsson 2015). International Level Strategy: this strategy refers to the plan that directs the international transaction happening between the companies of different countries. In order to initiate the international transaction the company needs to take care of the language, belief and culture of the other so as to initiate the transaction without any hindrance. The international strategy of Tesla played an important role in helping the company to grow in the international market of automobile. Transactional international business strategy was initiated by Tesla which helped the electric vehicles to increase the sales worldwide (Hoang, and Rothaermel 2016). Under this process the company co-operated and co-ordinated the business between the head office and other operational divisions of the organization. This strategy of the company helped them to circulate their business actins worldwide but keep the profits centralized only. Also this strategy helped the organization to gain the satisfaction of l ocal customers by spreading their business in different part of the world. The area where Tesla is most prominent in serving their products is US, Australia, Asia, Canada and Europe. Also the company headquartered in California (Rothaermel 2015). Strategic Issues faced by Tesla Long Production Cycle: long process of production cycle leads to increasing demand of the product in the competitive market and decrease in the supply of them. Resulting to which the customers get agitated while waiting due to which their level of satisfaction decreases and the customers switches to products of competitors brands. Tesla needs to speed up their production process otherwise it can act as a major threat for the organization. Due to this issue the company is also unable to meet up to the demand of the product forecasted in the target market. One of the reason due to which the organization faces this issue is the lack of adequate human resource, lack of human resources leads to increase in the production and manufacturing process and substantially the customers receives the products late. Thus, such complication shall be resolved by the organization on the highest priority so as to increase the sales volume of the product currently present in the market (Martin 2014). Rise in price of raw material: the company Tesla spends billions of dollars on the purchasing the massive batteries and sub-parts of the vehicles. supposing if the company produces around 500,000 cars then they need to purchase a large amount of lithium ion batteries which cost a huge expense to the company due to which the prices of the product also increases. Also the company faces the dilemma that if they sell the product at high prices, very few customers gets interested in actually buying it, and if they lowers the prices then they are unable to compensate with the expenses of raw material. Also it shall be noted that the company cannot even replace the raw material expense of lithium with that of some other cheap material like silicon because with the use of silicon the products are not made according to the expectations. Thus, the high prices of raw material acts as a major concern for the company (Chen, and Perez 2015). Cut-throat competition: although currently the company is gaining competitive edge in the target market but this situation will not survive for a long time as there is cut throat competition present in the market of electric cars. Companies like, Honda, Toyota, Ford etc. have also now gained the competence of producing the electric vehicles, so this gives the power to the customers as they can easily switch between many other companies products present in the market. Electric vehicles are the sole product with the help of which the company is sustaining in the target market and if the customer will find alternative for this product then will become difficult for the company to survive their current growth in the target market. Due to which competition acts as a major issue of concern in the target market (Mosey, and Kirkham 2017). Conclusion and Recommendations Thus in the limelight of above-mentioned events it shall be noted that the company Tesla has the competence to ace the target market they just need to analyze and eliminate their strategic issues. Further the recommendation to Tesla Motors is discussed below: The company should make use of upgraded technology and employ adequate human resource who can match up to the product and create them without any issues. Qualified human resource will also help the company to acknowledge new and innovative technology and make use of it in the production process to increase its pace. Tesla should find supplier of raw material who sell the product at feasible rates. This will help the company to decrease the cost of production. Lastly, in order to eliminate competition the company should focus on their core competencies and effective work on them so as to gain competitive edge in the target market (Wieland, Hartmann, and Vargo 2017).
